Accounting deals with different kinds of transactions and financial statements, which makes it become a fundamental part of the business. However, the whole accounting field might be very different from many people’s imagination.
Accounting does not only means mechanically recording entries and numbers; instead, it requires various analytical skills to judge the financial condition of a company. Therefore, plenty of careers are developed and play an irreplaceable role in the business world.
Here are some popular careers for accounting people:

• Bookkeeper

Bookkeeping is considered to be the most basic and simple job in the accounting field, but it still requires enough carefulness to make sure the accuracy. It includes works like posting day-to-day general journals and general ledgers. In other words, bookkeeper’s job ends at trial balance part of the accounting cycle, and provide reliable data for accountants to do further analysis.
Generally, a bookkeeper should have an associate degree of accounting or business administration[1], which means you can get the job as a bookkeeper after finishing 2 years accounting study in a college or university.

• Accountant

Accountants are the professional people who do financial analysis based on financial statements like balance sheet and income statement. They can either be employed by the accounting department in companies or set up their own office to receive clients individually. 
Accountants can be divided into a number of kinds that focus on different business. Tax accountant and forensic accountants are some of the most common types.
Compared to bookkeeper, it is harder to become a professional accountant. A bachelor’s degree is a usual education requirement; furthermore, many accountants pursue certificates to become more competitive in some specific job positions.

• Auditor

Auditors’ job is to verify the accuracy of the financial report of a business[2]. There are three types of auditors which are internal auditors, external auditors, and independent auditors. They work for accounting firms or various other entities such as government.
Typically, auditors should have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business. While in fact, lots of auditors earn graduate degrees. Also, a professional designation like certified internal auditor (CIA) helps employers to get better job prospects and income[2].

Different careers have different requirements and suit people with different characteristics, but all those works need support from both your solid fundamental accounting knowledge and your experience of dealing with the business event. So it can be said that accounting is a complex and interesting career that keep people learning new things.

    The author introduces three kinds of people in accounting which are bookkeeper, accountant and auditor. This blog makes me know more details in accounting people. I know that compare with accountant and auditor, bookkeeper is the most basic and simple job.

    I am into your blog as it introduces three kinds of careers related accounting, including bookkeeper, accountant, and auditor. Bookkeeper is the easiest job of these three jobs, and the accountant is responsible for analyze the situation how the business running, which is so essential for the success of a company. As for the auditor, it can supervise of the members of the company make the right table and data. This is so specific and useful for us to learn accounting.

    After reading your blog, I can learn some popular careers for accounting people, such as bookkeeper, accountant, and auditor. I can learn these three types of people have their own work. Bookkeeper is the most basic job in the accounting field. Accountants do the financial analysis, and the auditors' job is to verify the accuracy of the financial report of a business.
